14 dead in Chamba bus fall

Shimla : Fourteen people were killed and twelve injured Saturday when a bus fell deep into a gorge in Himachal Pradesh’s Chamba district, police said.

The overcrowded private mini bus was on its way from Chamba to Sadruni, the accident took place near Himgiri some 70 km from the town of Chamba.

The bus rolled into a 500 metre gorge after it lost control on a mountain road.

The injured have been admitted to hospital in Salooni, police said.
