10 day Shimla book fair

Shimla: The ten day book fair which started on 23 June is drawing crowds in Shimla’s gaiety theatre complex, with some well known publishers putting up stalls.

The book fair has been organised by the Centre for Art & Readership Development(OJAS) from June 23 to July 2.

Some 30 publishers have put up stalls, including Rajpal & Sons and India Today.

“We have a special stall displaying books by local writers of Himachal Pradesh,” chief organiser and local writer S R Harnot said.

During the ten day fair various literary programmes have also been organised to engage writers and visitors.
